BWHS Class of 1965 Reunion Events

Events on Thursday and Friday, September 17-18, 2015 will be held at the Depot, 2310 Montana Avenue, Billings, MT. Free parking is available after 5 PM in the East and West parking lots of the Depot.

BWHS events are listed in order of occurrence throughout the 50th reunion (please see this page for a list of non-reunion events that may interest you)...

• Tompkins Fine Art gallery reception showcasing artists and photographers who are members of the class of 1965 will be held from 1-5 PM on Thursday, Sept 17 at 2511 Montana Avenue (a short walk from the Depot). Jerry Inman arranged this event in partnership with the owners of Tompkins Fine Art gallery. The show will run until the end of September.
• Tour of BWHS arranged by Ann Cundy McCauley. Meet inside the double doors near the gym no later than 3:30 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2015. Please email Ann if you plan to attend. Provide her with a cell number and indicate if you have text capabilities in case of any last minute changes. (NOTE the change in meeting location from earlier plans.)
• Reception (shared event with Billings Senior, Class of 1965) on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5-9 PM at the Depot. Light snacks and drinks (for purchase) will be available throughout the evening.
• Nature walk at Norm Schoenthal Island at 8:00 AM Friday morning, Sept 18, led by Dave Klarich. Two options for meeting for this hike
• Meet Dave Klarich at the Depot at 7:30 AM to arrange car pooling.
• Meet Marv Forquer between 7:30 and 8:00 AM at the parking lot for Norm Schoenthal Island. (The entrance to this parking lot is a right turn off South Billings Blvd a couple hundred yards BEFORE both the South Bridge and the entrance to Riverfront Park; watch for the sign; contact Dave Klarich if interested.)
• Golf outing (joint with BSH): T-times (from 9-11 AM) have been reserved at Lake Hills for golfing on Friday, September 18th (email Bob Hall if you are interested in playing golf; $42/person senior rate includes cart and 18 holes). (I'm pretty sure it's too late to sign up for this.) 
• Dinner at the Depot on Friday, September 18, 2015:
• No host cocktail mixer from 5-7 PM
• Kreative Kapers catered buffet dinner at 7 PM 
• Brunch, pay-as-you-go basis at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2015. (A location will be announced after we have gathered interest at the Thursday and Friday events to make sure we have seating for all who would like to attend.)
• Bike ride, led by Dave Klarich, Saturday, September 19 at 1 PM; meet at the parking lot just east of the airport intersection. Drive up North 27th to the top of the Rimrocks and stay to the right at the top. Look for the first right turn from the highway to a parking area which is located about 100 yards east of the intersection atop the rims.

Other Events in Billings

Those of you who plan to stay in Billings after the reunion ends might be interested in the following events that are occurring the same week/weekend as our reunion.

The Billings Symphony is performing Saturday, September 19 at 7:30 PM at the Alberta Bair Theatre. Online ticket sales aren't available yet for this event. If interested, contact the orchestra at 406-252-3610 OR the Alberta Bair Theatre at 406-256-6052.

The All-Nations Indian Relay Championships events at Metra Park, 308 6th Avenue North, Billings, MT conflict with our Thursday and Friday reunion events but continue on Saturday and Sunday from 1:30-4:00 PM both days. Ticket information..

If you are arriving Wednesday or EARLY Thursday, the free program at the Western Heritage Center at noon on Thursday, September 17 may be of interest. The featured speaker is Kevin Red Star. (his topic is listed on the linked page as the third in the free series)

Plans are progressing... 50th BWHS Reunion!

Finalized plans are listed on the BWHS Class of 1965 Reunion Events page in order of occurrence. Please check that page for all events scheduled, both the Thursday and Friday paid gatherings as well as other optional events. See you there!

The Billings West High School Class of 1965 reunion is scheduled for September 17-18, 2015 and will be held at the Depot, 2310 Montana Avenue, Billings, MT. Free parking is available after 5 PM in the East and West parking lots of the Depot. Nearby hotels include the Best Western Plus Clocktower Inn, the Crowne Plaza and the Northern Hotel (all within easy walking distance).

Plans are progressing and many of the details have been firmed up already. Please pay final payments as soon as possible using the correct one of the PayPal buttons below (first two are for payments for the reunion, third is for paying for golf t-time)
